ABOUT TED FELOUZIS
Nearly my entire career has been in defining and developing Information Technology based systems for the manufacturing sector. My experience ranges from semi-conductor manufacturing to computer assembly; from pharmaceuticals to nutraceuticals; from steel to zirconium; and from pastries to poultry. I was fortunate to start my career at International Business Machines where adhering to software development life cycle methodologies was ingrained throughout IBM’s Information Systems group before most other organizations understood that software system development was a science and not an art. For the past 20 years, most of my efforts have been in understanding the manufacturing customer’s business challenges, their current processes and their current state of IT based systems. Based on those three facets of their organization, I work with my customer to define IT based systems (e.g. MES, OEE, SPC, ADC, CBM, etc.) that either replace or integrate their existing systems. My sole intent is to address their challenges, help them to meet their business goals and, if it is in their best interest, guide them towards becoming self-sufficient in maintaining and enhancing their system. My passion is to help create a vision in my customer’s mind and then work with them to see that vision become a reality. Specialties: Requirements Gathering, Project Management, Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES), Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE), Industry 4.0 Technologies, Manufacturing Intelligence, etc.
