I led the design of the MTC Stats system integration to enhance Franchise Email programs by incorporating personalized player statistics, like kills and leaderboards, into email communications. I implemented a solution using AWS Glue with PySpark for efficient data retrieval and processing. I fetched stats from the leaderboard service via gRPC API using protobuf to ensure seamless integration into the emails. A/B testing was conducted on a sample of 60 million players, revealing that the integration increased the Click-Through Open Rate from 2% to 3.5%, boosting player engagement and reducing churn-I led the integration of a messaging system that immediately enables welcome messages as soon as a newly purchased game is installed. By leveraging AWS Kafka to process event data and trigger Lambda functions, I ensured timely updates to DynamoDB, facilitating personalized and prompt player interactions.
