ABOUT THOMAS SIMPSON

Thomas Simpson is an incredibly hard working, innovative and dedicated digital consultant. His passion centres around forming and managing high performing teams that fuse business and IT disciplines together to create experiences that change people’s lives.With 14 years experience across sectors, specialising in Financial Services, Thomas has worked on engagements ranging from large complex system integration, to nimble, design orientated, digital transformation projects. He has been exposed to all aspects of the project delivery life-cycle including Sales, Transition, Analysis, Design, Architecture, Development, Quality Assurance, Support and Project/Programme Management. Most recently, Thomas has performed several leadership positions delivering award winning end to end mobile banking apps to clients such as Nationwide Building Society, Virgin Money and TSB. He has been instrumental in moving delivery offshore, embedding human centered design, operationalising practical Agile and DevSecOps methods, adoption of Hybrid Cloud and most recently establishing trusted AI and Generative AI. Tom’s inclusive approach to people management means he has been able to deliver performant, secure and regulated change at extreme pace. Tom partners with his clients and in doing so embeds a legacy of meaningful organisational and cultural ways of working stemming from relationships based on trust.As testament to these achievements, IBM has recognised Thomas throughout his career as \'Top Talent\', as well as a \'Rising Star\'. He continues to be known at a local and global level for mobile banking apps, mostly recently being awarded \'Best of IBM’, a corporate recognition of the top 0.25% of IBMers worldwide. His teams have also been recognised with the global IBM Outstanding Technical Achievement Award for his work to deliver Nationwide Building Society\'s new Mobile Banking App.
