Sheffield, GB

I lead the design and delivery of integrated public-facing communication campaigns across 75 GP practices in Sheffield, supporting system-wide priorities around prevention, engagement and behaviour change. The work spans complex, real-world health challenges, from vaccination uptake and antimicrobial stewardship to mental health awareness and back-to-school initiatives. Each programme combines evidence-based strategy with practical delivery, working across print, digital, in-practice materials and media to reach diverse communities and support frontline services.Much of the value in this role comes from operating in fast-moving, matrixed environments. I work closely with clinicians, practice teams, local authorities and communications colleagues to align priorities, manage dependencies and maintain clear, consistent messaging, often where capacity is stretched and clarity really matters. This experience has strengthened my ability to translate strategic ambition into delivery on the ground: shaping narratives that people understand, designing campaigns that work in real settings, and using insight and feedback to refine approach and demonstrate impact. These are the same principles I now apply in

ABOUT TARIQUE CHOWDHURY

I help purpose-led organisations grow by bringing clarity, credibility and story to complex or sensitive work.I’ve spent much of my career working in health, research, the public sector and the third sector — environments where priorities aren’t always clear, scrutiny is high, and communication really matters. I’m often brought in when things feel messy, when lots of voices need aligning, or when the work is important but hard to explain. My work sits between strategy, storytelling and reputation. I help leaders make sense of what they’re doing, find the story that genuinely reflects it, and communicate in a way that builds trust with the people who matter. This often means translating technical, policy-heavy or research-led work into language people can actually engage with.Alongside consultancy, I’m an experienced broadcaster and facilitator. I use conversation and media as tools for listening, learning and connection — not just for getting messages out.Today, as a Principal Communications Consultant, I work with organisations that care about impact and growth, and who value clear thinking, sound judgement and practical delivery over hype.I’m always open to conversations with people doing thoughtful, purpose-led work and looking for a trusted communications partner.
