Recently, we conducted a detailed study of the last three tiers of the textile industry in Pakistan for ILO in partnership with the Employers Federation of Pakistan. The project aimed to identify key business and labour challenges throughout the lower ends of the supply chain, from farmers and cotton communities to the ginning and spinning sector.We also supported ETI to deliver a value chain analysis of the surgical instruments sector and supply chain. Our experts provided in-depth knowledge of the strategic drivers of the industry and valuable insights that will aid in regulating the industry.In addition, we support the UK medical device industry in achieving a more sustainable supply chain through our training and capacity-building services. We have provided compliance training to numerous medical device organizations in the UK and Europe.GSUK provided strong support to China Three Gorges Corporation (CTG) in the implementation of PS2 standards at the Karot Hydropower Plant, which has a planned installed capacity of 720 MW. This involved offering assistance to a workforce of individuals. Furthermore, GSUK provided guidance to meet obligations required under PS2 IFC standards. Our comprehensive training and development programs for social compliance include licensed SMETA training for Pakistan and Bangladesh, training by SAI International, modern slavery training, and training on other regulations for the pharmaceutical and textile sectors.
