ABOUT TANAKA CHIKOSI

Tanaka Chikosi is a Strategy & Operations leader at Google within the Global AI Go-to-Market organization. He operates at the intersection of product, marketing, and strategy, leading cross-functional programs that bring Google’s AI innovations from development to global market launch. His work focuses on translating emerging AI capabilities into scalable go-to-market strategies and operational frameworks that enable adoption across billions of users and businesses worldwide.With more than 14 years of experience spanning entrepreneurship, venture capital, management consulting, and technology operations, Tanaka has built a track record of leading complex strategic initiatives and scaling programs across global organizations. He is known for bringing structure to ambiguous challenges, aligning diverse stakeholders around shared objectives, and driving measurable outcomes through disciplined execution and collaborative leadership.Beyond his core role, Tanaka serves as a Startup Success Manager for the Google for Startups Accelerator, where he supports Black and African founders building high-growth technology companies. He works closely with startup executives on business development, hiring strategy, and fundraising, helping them scale their companies and connect with Google’s global ecosystem of mentors, partners, and investors.Tanaka is also an active angel investor, both independently and through the Black Angel Group (BAG), supporting early-stage startups across sectors including AI, fintech, healthtech, edtech, and logistics, with a particular focus on emerging markets across Africa.He holds an MBA from The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania and a dual degree in Mechanical Engineering and Financial Economics from the University of Virginia.
