ABOUT TALISSA MONTEZ

I’m a recent Computer Science graduate from the University of the Pacific with a strong interest in cybersecurity and hands-on experience in network security, incident response, and system administration.Throughout my academic career, I developed a solid foundation in areas such as Computer Networking, Network Security, and System Administration. My technical toolkit includes Wireshark, GNS3, Ubuntu, Python, C/C++, Java, Kali Linux, Metasploit, and Nmap. I’ve also had the opportunity to gain real-world cybersecurity experience through a CO-OP at Sutter Health, where I worked alongside the SOC and engineering teams, handling phishing alerts, observing incident response investigations, and participating in the deployment and management of security tools like Microsoft Defender and BigID.As a former Division I softball athlete, I bring a strong sense of discipline, teamwork, and resilience to every environment I join. I’m now seeking full-time opportunities in cybersecurity or related fields where I can contribute, grow, and continue learning.Let’s connect!
