ABOUT TAHA MURTAZA CHEEMA

I am an agriculture professional with a Bachelor\'s degree in Agricultural Sciences, specializing in Plant Pathology, from the University of Agriculture Faisalabad. Coming from a farming background, I have a deep-rooted passion for advancing agricultural practices through innovation and technology.Currently, I am pursuing my dual degree program Master\'s in Sustainable International Agriculture at the Georg August Universität Göttingen and University of Kassel, Germany. I\'m also currently working in BASF as an intern for Sustainable Weed Management. Prior to this, I worked as an Agriculture Officer at Agrilift, specializing in drone operations to provide farmers with timely, data-driven field insights, optimizing irrigation, land preparation, and disease management practices.Previously, I served as an Agronomist at PepsiCo International, managing potato cultivation, implementing best planting practices, and ensuring high standards of quality control. I also contributed to farmer training initiatives through the Government Department of Agriculture Extension.My research experience includes an internship at the National Agriculture Research Center, focusing on plant virology within the Crop Disease Research Institute.Highlights of my professional journey include successful disease management strategies for various crops and leading innovative projects on edible fungi and tomato cultivation. Outside of work, I enjoy playing badminton and chess and actively volunteer for social causes.
