ABOUT SYLWIA LYSKAWKA

I am a skilled environmental and social managing consultant specializing in renewable energy sources, possessing expertise in developing comprehensive environmental impact assessments, social impact assessments, and stakeholder engagement plans. My proficiency in aligning these assessments with international standards such as the IFC PSs and EP4 has been instrumental in successfully executing projects in Poland and Romania. I have a strong background in subnational climate diplomacy, gained through my role as an expert in the Europejski Komitet Regionów, where I contributed to shaping an opinion on the European Commission\'s involvement in this area. Additionally, my previous positions at the Ministry of Climate and Environment, including President of the Youth Climate Council and Coordinator of the Climatology working group, have honed my skills in environmental and climate education, as well as the promotion of sustainable livelihoods. I hold a Master of Science degree in Water Science & Governance from King\'s College London, where I achieved a pass with distinction. Notably, I was honored with the best master\'s thesis award, reflecting my exceptional research and academic abilities in the field. Prior to that, I obtained a Bachelor of Science in Marine Biology with Oceanography from the University of Southampton, solidifying my foundational knowledge and passion for environmental sciences. These educational experiences have equipped me with a strong scientific background, critical thinking skills, and a comprehensive understanding of water science, governance, and marine ecosystems.
