Public Trust clearance-Calculate and track congressional appropriation funding totaling approximately $1.5 billion per fiscal year and an additional $100 million in unused prior year funding (carryover) to fund water quality improvement programs as authorized by the Safe Drinking Water Act (SDWA)-Support quality assurance of federal grant allotments via the independent creation of an in-house financial database utilizing consolidated information from several interagency financial systems, including Oracle Financials, Business Objects (SAP), and other digital storage warehouses-Apply knowledge of financial principles, policies, and procedures of federal financial management and federal grant processes to ensure legal, ethical, and timely use of funding-Facilitate simultaneous cross-collaborative projects and communications with interagency departments such as the Tribal grant programs, Research and Development, Mission Support, and Data Analytics to create annual, quarterly, monthly, and other urgent, time-sensitive reports and presentations for leadership and administrative review-Create detailed and audience appropriate spreadsheets, tables, charts, graphs, diagrams and other visual media to comprehensively communicate financial grant data to relevant stakeholders as appropriate-Implemented the automation of mass data export to improve the strength and quality of reporting tools, processes, and future appropriation funding and allotment forecasting-Communicate programmatic recommendations and highlights based on comprehensive performance analysis and forecasting of current year funding and historical state expenditure trends in addition to the identification, monitoring and escalation of any discrepancies in source data or potential funding challenges or opportunities.
