ABOUT STEPHANIE WELLS

I’m a Carlsbad-based community organizer and civic leader focused on building durable, people-powered Democratic infrastructure in North County San Diego. I currently serve as Vice Chair of the San Diego County Democratic Party North Coastal Area Caucus, where I help strengthen partnerships, support local clubs, and keep our work grounded in the communities we serve.My organizing roots come from showing up for public schools and local issues—and growing that work into volunteer-driven programs that turn values into action. In 2024, I worked with Everytown for Gun Safety during the election cycle, supporting volunteer voter outreach in key congressional swing districts. I’m also Executive Vice President of DEMCCO and Endorsement Chair for the Democratic Women’s Club of San Diego.I’m a survivor of gun violence and a public education advocate. My priorities include defending public education, LGBTQ+ equality, reproductive freedom, and community safety. I’m especially passionate about making civic participation clearer, more welcoming, and more effective for everyday people.
