ABOUT SUZIE DORE

Winner of the 2020 Charlie Divine APMP Certification Scholarship and 2022 APMP 40 Under 40 Award Winner. As a highly qualified and recognised bid professional, I am dedicated to ongoing learning and development. I am a Certified APMP Practitioner, and am Shipley trained.Over the course of my 10+ year career in business development, I have successfully won millions of pounds worth of funding and have a strong track record in leading complex and high-value strategic proposals and commercial tenders; with a focus on public sector procurement including healthcare, social care, construction/infrastructure, and literature. This has given me an in-depth and multifaceted knowledge of tender processes.I work collaboratively across a multidisciplinary workforce, up to board level, to deliver complex, high-value multi-million pound bids. My expertise in strategic business proposals has enabled me to bring additional non-procured funding into my organisation by overseeing operational and financial modeling alongside key stakeholders and subject matter experts.As an experienced leader and growth ambassador, I have headed up successful business development departments and directly managed talented bid professionals. I am a keen mentor, and provide mentorship to up-and-coming business development professionals, sharing the knowledge I have obtained over the course of my career with those new to the sector. Dedicated to supporting organisations that make a positive impact on society, I volunteer at the Devon Wildlife Trust and have a strong background in securing grant funding and achieving successful national award applications for charities, community interest, not-for-profit, and third-sector organisations. I hold a Prince 2 Practitioner Certification and have led multiple high-level projects and initiatives. In 2020, during the height of the pandemic, I acted as Deputy Chair of the CoVID-19 Project Management Office.
