Excellent communicator and negotiator. Making things happen for others is where I get my buzz from. Loving a Challenge to make opportunities appear for young people, enable them to feel empowered and skilled and confident to go forward and be successful. Fanatical about up to date information, keen to get advice from industry experts and happy to mentor and coach others to their place of happiness. I am a fully qualified Careers Adviser with experience of working with students seeking Further/Higher Education and Apprenticeships/Employment. I am currently working as Head of Careers for Bristol Brunel Academy (a member of the Cabot Learning Federation). I am passionate about Careers and pride myself on my knowledge of current affairs in Careers, Education, Information, Advice and Guidance (C.E.I.A.G.). I have an excellent understanding of the Quality “matrix” and requirements that ensure schemes of work in PHSE careers are excellent and outstanding. I bring a reality to the classroom by bringing prospective employers and Business’ into school and negotiate visits out to professions for students by extensive networking and relationship building wherever I go. Recent Achievements, in these challenging times, include: • Written a clear and comprehensive Strategy for delivering C.E.I.A.G. • Organised many Careers Fairs with genuine opportunities for students • Delivered Assembly talks and invited in Professionals from a range of occupations, • Delivered Self Employment / Enterprise workshops. • Devised a new website of Careers Information for all • Delivered Apprenticeship information workshops, how to apply etc. • Organised and accompanied students on Visits to Universities including Oxford, Cardiff, Bristol, Bath, Plymouth and UWE. • I Manage Work Experience placements for 200+ students in year 10. • Achieved “The Employability Chartermark” – accredited by Bristol LEP & Ofsted. • 0% NEET 2016 leavers
