I run and host the Guardian Masterclass \'What journalists want: A masterclass for PRs, marketers and business owners\'. During the three-hour workshop, I explain the importance of storytelling and thinking creatively when it comes to securing media coverage. I offer guidance on working with the media and tips on how to build strong relationships with both staff and freelance journalists. The session also involves taking a closer look at how the media is changing and how you can take advantage of emerging digital platforms. I also run workshops throughout the year with PRs, small businesses and other organisations. An online version of the workshop will be made available at the start of 2019. ABOUT SUZANNE BEARNE
I\'m a freelance journalist, radio producer for Radio 4\'s Today and Radio 5\'s Wake Up to Money programmes, editor, copywriter, media consultant. I run the Guardian PR Masterclass and host workshops and webinars and an in-depth course teaching small businesses, PRs and other organisations how to work with journalists.
