I lead a facility of 30 people, directing the development and improvement of processes/tooling/products, Lean Six Sigma projects for efficiency and cost-savings, and data-driven quality requirements for our product lines. My team is responsible for the support of five manufacturing facilities nationwide, connecting technical expertise throughout the company with collaborative projects and problem solving, and developing specialized in-house training. Our work regularly incorporates Operational Excellence principles and projects, and our development process depends on statistical standards and analytical decision making. I led the start-up of a new manufacturing site in 2022 (equipment sourcing, personnel hiring and training, material qualifications, etc.) and oversaw the integration of a new acquisition. This required a focus on global development, which allowed me to exercise some of my previous work experience. I have long enjoyed overcoming the challenge of language and cultural differences, and am pleased by the successes our varied group achieved. I\'m proud that my team has expanded to provide leadership and cohesiveness throughout the company, allowing opportunities to mentor and grow staff both within RD & E and other locations. We balance the day-to-day company support with the long term strategy of pursuing innovative patents, and researching new materials and technologies. With these varied opportunities, I am able to foster the growth of individuals who work for or with me by achieving our common goals.
