ABOUT SURAYYA WALTERS
I am a social entrepreneur passionate about advancing diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) in business. I founded and led iDEIntity, a nonprofit startup that helps small businesses and startups to effectively manage their DEI by providing them with tools, resources, and training. iDEIntity has been recognized and supported by various prestigious programs and awards, such as the Mockingbird Incubator, the Watson Venture Accelerator, the National “I am Black Business Pitch Competition\", and the Social Justice Innovation Awards. I also founded Still Knowing, a new organization that empowers young people to discover and pursue their faith and spirituality while developing mental health literacy. Still Knowing was awarded the LookUp Incubator Grant and was accepted into the SquareOne Startup Pre-Accelerator and the Bubble Immerse Accelerator. I hold a Bachelor of Applied Science in Marketing/Marketing Management from The Wharton School and the University of Pennsylvania, where I was a Wharton Research Scholar and a recipient of the Vice Dean’s Award for Service and the Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Award for Outstanding Leadership and Service. I aspire to use my knowledge and skills to create a positive social impact and inspire others to do the same.
