ABOUT SU-KIM COMAC

I have worked in the broader environmental, social and governance space for over 15 years, spanning across industry, government, not-for-profit and professional services. I am passionate about the relationship between responsible business conduct, sustainability, customer trust and commerical success; and the importance of embedding ESG-informed resilience into strategy and operations. I currently head up Amazon\'s compliance with the EU Digital Services Act, which focuses on online safety, transparency and limiting the spread of disinformation. In this role, I lead a 8+ person team to co-ordinate with partner teams to demonstrate our compliance with the requirements of the DSA regulation, including regular reporting and audit. Prior to this, I led Amazon\'s ESG risk assessment efforts globally, sitting within the global center of excellence for ESG Reporting within Amazon\'s Worldwide Sustainability team. In this role, I led a 12+ person team to establish and implement a robust and scalable climate and ESG risk identification, assessment and management program across Amazon. This involved establishing climate and ESG risk assessment frameworks relevant for different reporting regimes and developing, owning and managing a multi-year work program spanning across risk identification, risk screening, quantitative scenario analysis, financial statement modelling, mitigation/adaptation planning and disclosures. Before Amazon, I worked at EY in the Climate Change and Sustainability Services (CCaSS) in Australia and Germany. Here, I helped lead the climate and decarbonisation team within Germany and was also a part of the core leadership team on the global team\'s decarbonisation and climate risk service offering. My work and experience spans across ESG and climate risk assessments and disclosure, GHG inventory development, climate and decarbonisation strategy, non-financial reporting and assurance and climate finance. Earlier in my career, I held a number of roles in state and federal government on energy efficiency and water stewardship related topics.
