Rentplus is an affordable rent to buy product supporting local key/essential workers and other aspirant homeowners unable to save because of lower incomes or high rents. We buy new homes, lease them to HA/RPs for 20 years. Aspirant homeowners move in with no deposit, paying affordable rent for 5-20 years, giving them time to save and build good credit. Our model supports the NPPF criteria for affordable housing and routes to home ownership and has been adopted by >50 LAs across England.In 2016, the first Rentplus tenants moved in with no deposit. In 2021 they secured high street mortgages, buying 100% of their home. With the 10% gifted sum from Rentplus, some had c20- 25% equity.Rentplus turns renters into homeowners.
