ABOUT STEVE TREAGUST
I’ve spent my career stepping into complex, scaled environments and helping leadership teams bring clarity, focus, and momentum where it mattered most. Whether the challenge was a fragmented product portfolio, a rapidly scaling organisation, or a highly regulated operating model, my work has consistently centred on simplifying complexity and turning strategy into execution that delivers measurable commercial outcomes.I began my career in finance and large-scale programme delivery, working inside highly governed environments across defence, energy, and infrastructure. Those early years shaped how I think about risk, accountability, and decision-making at scale — and built a foundation in operating discipline that has carried through everything since. As my roles expanded, I moved from controlling outcomes to shaping them: leading enterprise transformations, building operating models, and aligning systems, teams, and incentives around clear priorities.Over the last decade, that journey has culminated in senior product leadership roles across global software businesses. As a VP and CPO, I’ve led portfolio strategy, product planning, industry solutions, and product-led growth — reshaping platforms, embedding governance, and helping organisations make confident trade-offs about where to invest, where to stop, and how to win. I am most effective when working with PE-backed Boards and leadership teams that need to cut through the noise, make hard trade-offs, and move from \"shipping features\" to \"delivering company value.\"Outside of work, I’m a lifelong learner and student of ancient philosophy (useful perspective when navigating pressure and ambiguity), and a committed rugby fan and youth coach, where leadership, discipline, and teamwork are tested every week.
