ABOUT STEVEN MITCHELL
l am a confident individual, who works equally well in a team, or on my own. I have excellent people skills, I\'m decisive, motivated & enjoy the challenges, in whatever I\'m involved in.l have a broad range off skills, all gained through a varied 40+ year career.For as long as I can remember, I have always been an ideas type person, having once being in the semi finals of a livewire competition in 1981 for young entrepreneurs, run by Shell UK. I have also came up with a design for a theme park ride & also a garden edging type product.Lastly, due to all the problems our country currently faces at the moment, with the rise in obesity levels, especially in children, I hope through my Community Hangout project ( see below ) it will decrease obesity levels & change things for the better. A few years ago now, this idea was taken on board by Marlyn Livingstone, who at that time was an MSP & she had 4 stakeholders appointed to the idea, with the sole purpose to move it forward & get it up & running. Sadly they all eventually withdrew, as they couldn\'t devote enough time to it. I have spoken to many different departments since about it, including the Scottish Government & they still all agree there is a need & a market for this. lf this is ever to get off the ground, l would need to consider going it alone & seeking charity status.
