Our expertise lies in scrubbing systems, enclosures, tanks, bunds and ductwork extraction systems as well as pipework and bespoke fabrication in a wide range of specialist industries.The specialist team at Marcol have over 70 yrs of experience with industrial fabrication and has carried out work for many \'blue chip\' clients over that time. ABOUT STEVE BARNES
I am a commercially and operationally driven leader with a career spanning specialist building materials and industrial manufacturing since 1987. Throughout that time, I have held senior leadership roles with full responsibility for business performance, people, and delivery in technically demanding environments.Since 2013, my focus has been within the plastics industry, specialising in industrial engineering plastics and fabrication. This has built on my earlier experience in specialist building materials, combining strong commercial judgement with hands-on operational understanding—from market strategy and customer engagement through to production, compliance, and execution.My leadership roles have carried end-to-end responsibility across sales, operations, engineering, finance, and people development. I am particularly focused on building capable leadership teams, developing talent, and creating businesses that are resilient, accountable, and fit for long-term growth.Most recently, within the SCPS Group, I am part of the senior leadership team shaping the business for the next generation. This includes strengthening governance, developing capability, investing in people and systems, and ensuring the Group is well positioned to meet future market and customer demands.
