ABOUT STEPHEN HARKNESS
A Consulting Engineer, designated by Professional Engineers of Ontario. Steve has 30 years of engineering and operations management experience in the manufacturing sector and over 10 years experience in the field of engineering consulting. After graduating with a B.A.Sc. Mechanical Engineering from the University of Toronto (1988), he worked at the Petro-Canada refinery in Mississauga while becoming a licensed Professional Engineer. In 1991, Steve joined Redpath Sugar refinery in Toronto to assist them with two Plant expansions. In 1997, Steve moved to Holcim Canada (St. Lawrence Cement) as Engineering Manager. In he was promoted to Maintenance Manager and in 2006, he was promoted to General Manager. In 2009, Steve left Holcim to pursue an Executive MBA at the Rotman School of Management and start a consulting company (SDH Strategies Inc.). After completing the MBA, Steve joined TWD Technologies, an EPCM (engineering, procurement and construction management) company. After four years at TWD, Steve purchased the engineering consulting company, Cemcorp LTD. in 2013 and in 2016 he created Installcorp Ltd. to provide design-build to our preferred clients. In 2024, Cemcorp celebrate the company\'s 40th anniversary.Specialties: Mechanical Engineering, Project Management, Engineering Management, Maintenance Management and General Management - Manufacturing, Industrial Sector.Performance and Efficiency Improvement including Process Optimization.
