Part of Werhahn AG, the German group with a turnover of around 4 billion Euro worldwide. As the business starts to generate revenue with £m contracts with clients across the globe, the purpose of my role is to ensure the company has the right people, processes, controls and risk management to maximise the benefits from each opportunity.

ABOUT STEPHEN CLAGUE
I am a finance director with 25+ years of experience across a broad range of sectors, many at board level. I have worked for $bn multinationals gaining experience across borders with US parents / joint venture partners; also SMEs none in great shape to start with but all turned around and stabilised. For two, profits were doubled / losses halved and working capital cut by a third resulting in successful exits at valuations significantly greater than the shareholders initial expectations. Colleagues and advisers see me as a professional with integrity. I constantly question how we function and how can we act smarter. My management style reflects the needs of the business. I naturally apply a lighter touch and consult with my team and peers. However when business critical action is required I provide clear direction and exercise a drive and determination to complete the task on time and within budget. As a graduate Big 4 (PwC) Qualified Chartered Accountant with extensive skills and experience, I am now looking forward to new opportunities as a FD/CFO. In terms of sector, I have seen the immense value that a FD can bring in the delivery of great adult social care but I am not limited to that sector. As always I am adaptable and open to new challenges.
