ABOUT STEPHEN OSBORN
Mr Osborn is an Atkins Fellow and has forty years professional experience including four years spent overseas. He has specialised in Port and Harbour engineering, including the planning and managing of reclamation and RoRo schemes. He is an acknowledged Industry Expert on RoRo facilities and passenger walkways for ferry berths and is experienced in the general planning of ports. He works widely in the Ports industry with experience in most UK ports, Jersey, Ireland, many Middle Eastern and African ports, Spain, Australia, the Netherlands, Albania and Croatia. He was Chairman of the British Standard committee responsible for BS 6349, Code of Practice for Maritime Works for 10 years before retiring from it. He is presently Chairman of the PIANC Working Group 167 for the Design of RoRo and RoPax terminals Specialties: Ship to shore linkspans and walkways, Port planning with special emphasis on RoRo and ferry terminals
