ABOUT STEPHANIE GALATI

I\'ve always been a \"People Person\". I loved getting into groups and meeting new people; finding connections that we had, but also learning about our differences.I have worked in the education industry for most of my career; across all academic levels. I have worked both inside the classroom, serving as a Paraprofessional, and outside, serving as Marketing and Development Coordinator. I joined the Residence Life Community in the Summer of 2022, returning to my Alma Mater, the University of Portland. I graduated class of 2020, with a degree in Organizational Communication. I wrote my capstone on Collegiate Identity Development in conjuncture with Dating Apps and Social Media. Little did I know that I would be moving into a role where I would be working alongside college students everyday. I am concluding my third year and have learned SO much. In my time at UP, I have assisted in event planning, student support, getting to connect with students and hear their thoughts is the highlight of my job. During this time I completed my Masters of Arts in Higher Education and Student Affairs, working alongside the Alumni Relations and Athletics Departments. Outside of work, you can find me watching sports of any kind (Football and Basketball are my favorites), reading, and exploring my home state of Oregon. I am devoted to sharing my passions with those I work with, creating innovative ways to connect to each other. My future career goals include the area of Athletic Engagement and Experience, with areas of interest including fundraising and constituent engagement, as well as gameday and fan experience.Please feel free to view my resume, and reach out with any questions!
