The last 18 years have been spent driving growth and empowering people to connect to opportunities to grow in purpose, business & impact. Spending 15 years “In the closet” of sales & innovation roles in corporate America. During Covid, I stepped outside my comfort zone and started my first company. I am grateful for my 15+ years in Media as it opened doors in many ways. I was able to gain diverse experience in Broadcast TV/Radio, Digital & Local programming. As the Director of Sales and Marketing for Tribune Media & Townsquare Media, I led new ideas and go-to-market launch strategies for new programming and digital service. With a passion to help SMBs, growth companies, and Fortune 500 companies alike market for success. While empowering my team to grow and lead in the office and out in the field. In December 2019 I started Grow Business Today a marketing and growth agency committed to empowering people, the planet, profit, and purpose to grow business and impact. Two years later with a desire to create a space for others to grow businesses and impact, we launched Grow Hub Gr. Grand Rapids\' first female and family-operated purpose-driven incubator and co-working community in downtown Grand Rapid’s Westside. Our approach to incubation is not only space but meeting people where they are, providing one another with social capital, support, and connections to grow. In 2021, my Husband retired from Kent County Sherriff\'s department after a 28-year career in law enforcement. In May of 2021, we opened Shield Private Investigations to continue serving the Greater West Michigan community and families where he is Lead Detective and I assist him with Operations. No matter what business or volunteer opportunity, I am committed to empowering people to find answers and connect to opportunities. While staying focused on delivering results for businesses, shareholders, and communities I serve. From a personal brand perspective; people describe me using words like optimistic, results-oriented, high energy, passionate, and problem solver. I would add “flare of geek”. Naturally curious, I thrive when challenged and crave a FRESH perspective. While “Geeky ” used to be an insecurity. Now, I EMBRACE it! The desire to learn partnered w/ability to understand, how to connect people, data & technology to drive profit is an asset.
