ABOUT STEFAN POWELL
I’ve coached professionally for 25 years.I was taught to coach leaders before I was ever asked to lead and that shaped everything that followed. So when I led my first sales team - 44 sellers - I didn’t start with targets. i started with a question- What do we want to be known for? When I led my first full programme of change, I didn’t start with the plan. I asked- Why should we do this? When I founded my coffee house, I didn’t begin with the brand. I asked- What does our community need? And when I returned to full-time coaching, the first question I asked my first coachee wasn’t about goals or performance. It was- What do you need from me?Over time, a pattern became clear.Leadership isn’t shaped by the answers we give once we have authority. It’s shaped by the questions we learn to ask before we have it.Later, when my father became ill and I realised I won’t be here forever to protect my own children; another question surfaced- What does our planet need from us?That’s when it really landed for me.Stewardship isn’t something I adopted late in my career. It’s what’s been quietly training me all along. My work spans one-to-one coaching, leadership teams, and system-level change - always with stewardship, not performance theatre, as the anchor. If you’re holding power and sensing that how you hold it now matters as much as what you deliver, we’ll likely have a good conversation. And if you\'d like to find the courage and practice to steward, for people, place and planet to even greater effect - I\'m confident I can help you.
