I am a results-driven Operations Manager and engineer with over 5 years of experience in logistics and supply chain management, specializing in high-performance warehouse operations. I graduated with a master’s degree (110L) in Management Engineering at the University of Bologna and have gained international experience at Vrije Universiteit, Amsterdam. Currently, I am working as Operations Manager at Amazon, leading warehouse operations at the BLQ8 site - Amazon\'s first robotic sortation center in Italy. I manage a team of 10+ managers and 20+ operations supervisors, working closely with senior leadership to optimize logistics processes, and drive operational excellence in Amazon Supply Chain. Key Responsibilities- Develop and execute strategic operational plans to meet weekly performance targets- Lead cross-functional teams to ensure high standards of safety, quality, and productivity- Forecasting and resource planning based on weekly volume, optimizing staffing and robotic system configurations- Manage inbound/outbound logistics, review truck scheduling, and resource planning- Improve logistics processes by implementing complex projects and collaborating with internal and external stakeholders (such as Safety, Maintenance, Transportation and Human Resources teams)- Track and analyze KPIs trough multiple reports for senior site leadership, leveraging data-driven insights to identify operational bottlenecks and implementing corrective actions. Career Highlights- Successfully launched and managed Amazon\'s first robotic Sort Center (BLQ8) in Italy on Oct 2021- Coordinated key logistics initiatives that enhanced supply chain operations, contributing to significant cost savings and increased output- Promoted to Area Manager II after 1 year and a half, after managing multiple departments within the Amazon warehouse, such as Inbound, Outbound, Dock, Flow and Transportations team- Promoted to Operations Manager after 4 years As a proactive leader, I thrive in dynamic, high-pressure environments, constantly seeking innovative ways to improve processes and lead my team toward continuous improvement. My leadership skills along with the ability to balance strategic planning with hands-on execution has allowed me to successfully manage large-scale projects with multiple stakeholders, including new facility launches and complex logistical developments. I am eager to continue growing in the logistics and supply chain industry, particularly within fast-paced, international organizations where innovation and efficiency drive success.
