ABOUT SOUMYAJIT MAHAPATRA

I have changed 10 colleges and 5 careers before I decided to settle for anything. This is the main principle of my life. I never enjoy static life. After graduating with Mathematics, I joined DOT (Now BSNL) and served there for 36 years. From my association with Public Relations Society of India, I start to gain insights about the Corp Com Industry. I have served as secretary of PRSI, Kolkata Chapter for six years and still serving the Organization as the Chairman of Kolkata Chapter. Though I don’t have any formal education in Public Relations, my experience of life taught me the most important tactics of Corporate Communications. I have been privileged to receive different awards for my contribution in Corporate Communications. Received ‘Excellence in Journalism’ at the Global Festival of Journalism during 2018 at Noida Film City was one of many fond memories. I have always worked hard to develop skills of the young talents. Through programs like ‘Beyond the Classroom’ I mentored many young students and guided them before starting their professional journey. In the year 2017, I promoted ‘Entrepreneurship Startup’ to bring the aspirant entrepreneurs to the notice of mentors and investors. As I already said, I love to take new challenges and gain new experiences from life. After my retirement from the post of Deputy General Manager at BSNL, I started to think about my second innings of life. From that idea, I Communications started its journey. Looking beyond the 360 degree approach i Communications has developed a 720 degree service inventory for its clients. i Communications aims to redefine and reimagine brand, corporate and PR communications through relevant and cost effective service for its clients.
