ABOUT SOPHIA CENIZA
Sophia Ceniza is the Senior Law Fellow at EqualAI which helps companies, policymakers and institutions implement effective AI governance frameworks, foster innovation and enable broader AI adoption by building trust in emerging technologies. Sophia earned her law degree from Georgetown University Law Center in 2025, where she focused her studies on burgeoning issues in the Information Age. Previously, Sophia served as a student-attorney and research assistant in the Intellectual Property and Information Policy Clinic at Georgetown where she counseled clients on ethical AI integration, and advised students on projects in IP policy and fair use. She also previously served as a law clerk with the U.S. House of Representatives Committee on the Judiciary, the U.S. Senate and the U.S. Copyright Office. Sophia attended the University of Southern California where she graduated with Summa cum laude and Phi Beta Kappa honors, and worked as a student journalist and Managing Editor of USC’s student-run newspaper, the Daily Trojan.
