ABOUT SOPHIA BREWER
I currently attend the University of Colorado Boulder, Leeds School of Business, and am obtaining a bachelor’s degree in business administration with a specialized focus on Marketing and Business Analytics, complemented by a minor in Multicultural Leadership. My academic emphasis centers on the intersection of these disciplines within the dynamics of the Sports and Entertainment Industry. This unique educational background equips me with a comprehensive understanding of market dynamics, consumer behavior, and data analytics tailored specifically to the complexities of the sports and entertainment sectors. Moreover, my minors in Multicultural Leadership and Sports Media provide me with a nuanced perspective on the relationships between society and culture within sports and entertainment. In a practical application of my academic pursuits, I obtained two internships in the sports industry: One for the University of Colorado Boulder Athletics, working in Strategic Impact, and the Second for DIECE Athletics, serving as an executive board intern. I have also collaborated and engaged with members of the company, Athletes for Hope. Through these collaborations, I have gained invaluable insights and hands-on experience in examining the intersection of cultural and engagement initiatives within collegiate athletics. This involvement has further deepened my understanding of the complexities involved and reinforced my commitment to driving positive change in the sports and entertainment landscape. Beyond my academics, I have found involvement in projects that test and strengthen my knowledge and skills from both a group member and leadership perspective. I look forward to communicating with you and am open and excited for all interning and working opportunities.
