ABOUT SOLOMON KAMAL-UDDIN

Senior Cross Sector experience in Healthcare, Education, Clinical trials, Industry and Patient Organizations I am passionate about using my extensive experience to benefit teams looking for novel efficient solutions to healthcare hurdles; helping to deliver projects for patient communities and the organizations that serve them. As part of this I am also looking to develop how Healthcare Professionals can positively influence the messaging and support advances regarding the Climate Crisis. I have Dual Accreditation CCT in Paediatrics with Sub Speciality training in Emergency Medicine (PEM), trained to deliver urgent medical and trauma care across all Specialities, as well as lead and line manage multidisciplinary teams. My clinical experience extends across over 30 NHS trusts. As a NHS Consultant in PEM at Watford General Hospital, I helped to develop the Paediatric Emergency Department Service and its identity. This involved being a mentor, and supervisor to junior doctors and nurses as well as having key roles in governance structure such as managing clinical incidences, and establishing regional guidelines. I have also worked as a Principal Investigator for a number of national clinical trials, and contributed to several Delphi Studies. I worked at the IQVIA Paediatric and Rare Disease Centre of Excellence in an Europe based Strategy role, aiding or leading on over 200 projects on site identification, trial design, recruitment and supporting research outcome become more patient and investigator orientated. I supported this by strengthening relationships, reducing family burden and working more proactively with investigators to increase the chances of getting a positive result for all involved.I was grateful to work at Amicus, a Patient focused biotech, where I was senior Medial Advisor and regional Medical lead for Fabry Disease. I currently work at BCP where I support evidence generation from Real World Healthcare Data supporting pharmaceutical companies develop new treatment options I am actively involved at the Royal College of Paediatrics where I have been appointed part of their Climate Change Working Group, Research Arm. We are the only Medical College to have an official Position Statement about Climate Change. I am also proud to be part of Medics.Academy as a senior faculty, where we are helping to educate the present and next generation of clinicians. I am Proactively involved with a number of Patient focused organizations including the Cambridge Rare Disease Network (CRDN) and Usher Syndrome Ireland.
