Accomplished Data Analyst with expertise in Next-Generation Sequencing and Genome Wide Association Studies specializing in integrating multi-omics data to uncover disease associated genomic factors and genetic variants driving actionable insights into host-pathogen interactions with respect to infectious diseases.My passion for science go beyond the confines of a lab bench or data on a screen. I am particularly enthusiastic about pursuing opportunities in clinical research, where I can leverage my analytical skills to drive advancements in biotech and clinical diagnostics. Whether through a Ph.D. or non-Ph.D. pathway, I aim to bridge gaps between research, communication, and practical application, collaborating with cross-functional teams to translate discoveries into tangible solutions.Additionally, learning Spanish has been a deliberate step in broadening my horizons, enabling me to connect with more people and share scientific knowledge across linguistic and cultural barriers.After completing my Bachelor\'s degree in Medical Laboratory Technology (BMLT), I chose to pursue a Master\'s in Biomedical Sciences. While this path may seem unconventional, it actually represents a clear progression from a professional degree to a core life sciences course. My BMLT degree provided me with clinical exposure, where working with samples from hospitalized patients highlighted the critical importance of translating scientific discoveries from the bench to the bedside. This experience fueled my interest in research, particularly in bioinformatics approaches to elucidate host and pathogen factors during pathogen challenges from a genomics perspective.
