Work with Product Owner, Scrum Master, and lead within the Agile environment and follow Scrum approach of delivering user stories using Jira and Confluence. This involves breaking user stories to small technical tasks and updating the status in every standup. • Implement RESTful using Java, Spring Boot, Spring MVC using microservice architecture. Update existing API endpoints to accommodate change in the business requirements. Develop data persistence layer using Spring Data, Hibernate, MySQL, Elasticsearch databases. Configure User Access Security for the API endpoints using OAuth/JWT token integrations. • Write REST clients for consuming 3rd party APIs into the applications. • Contribute to Event Driven data integrations using Apache Kafka. This involves writing new API connectors, implementing new transformation, filter, aggregations, mapper functions for these pipelines. • Write automated unit and integration tests for the APIs using Junit, Mockito, MockMVC and run them on every pull request. Test API endpoints manually using Postman and other browser extensions. • Use Splunk, Datadog monitoring and alerting dashboards for applications. Update deployment configurations for the service deployment on Kubernetes clusters on Azure environments. Update build pipeline configuration for the microservices to orchestrate automated build pipelines and git build hooks. Publish maven modules to the private module registry. • Document API endpoints using Swagger and OpenAPI specification. Follow GitFlow/TBD model of git version control, get code reviewed by opening a Pull Request on Bitbucket for every modification of the code and run build pipelines and analyze test results of the pull requests using SonarQube.
