ABOUT SKYY SAXON

Skyy is a Senior Finance student at Howard University, where she is part of the inaugural cohort of the Marriott-Sorenson Center for Hospitality Leadership. She is also a recipient of the UNCF HBCU Empowerment Scholarship Award and the HU Achievers Scholarship Award.In Summer 2024, she interned with RLJ Lodging Trust, a publicly traded hotel REIT, evaluating property and market performance data. She currently serves as the Treasurer for Alpha Chapter, Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. and holds the position of 1st Vice President for the National Council of Negro Women, Howard Section.Previously, she was a Commercial Real Estate Intern at Project Destined, where she received training in market analysis, deal financing, and valuation. She and her team secured a top 3 position in a case competition, where they pitched value-add ideas for multifamily properties.Skyy is passionate about finance, hospitality, ownership, and real estate. She stays informed by listening to news and podcasts related to the industry and current events. She is also an active community member, who volunteers for Martha\'s Table and the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI), supporting teens and addressing childhood obesity and mental health issues.Skyy is looking for opportunities to learn, grow, and contribute in the fields of business, finance, real estate, and property development. She values diversity, inclusion, and social impact, and aspires to be a leader and a role model for the next generation of women in finance and hospitality.
