In 2005 I founded the Girl Geek Dinners. A community network for women (and men) it technology to support one another in their careers and make friends for life.My role with Girl Geek Dinners has varied as the network has grown. Initially I ran the local London group, then as it expanded through our franchising model I have become the central co-ordinator across all groups worldwide and my core focus is on the communications platform, getting new groups up and running as well as partnerships and sponsor engagements. I have also worked with United Nations ITU and the UK government on policy and funding for encouraging young people and empowering women through access to technology.
