Key activities: Ensure smooth operation of the machines/equipments in a shift: • Ensures operation of the machine as per the work instructions. • Informs any deviation from set standards to HOD/concerned. • Identifies and facilitates rectification of any machine/equipment problem with the help of maintenance or department personnel with a view to maintain the machine/equipment in good condition at all times. Productivity as per norms: • Plans the shift working as per the works orders to be processed. • Checks order quantity already finished in the earlier shift and plan for balance quantity accordingly as per the work order. • Ensures availability of raw /packing material as per the plan. • After completion of each pass helps operators to clean the machine and setting of process parameters. • Coordinate with stores dept for availability of the Raw/packing material. • Ensures availability of material for the next shift. • Hand over charge to the next shift supervisor with relevant information including issues/problems faces, if any.
