ABOUT SIMON GOODACRE

I am a communications professional with experience driving website design, digital marketing communications campaigns, internal communications initiatives, online community management and multimedia development in several industry-leading organizations. As a member of the Dean of Arts and Sciences senior leadership team, I am responsible for the strategy and implementation of communications initiatives in the School of Arts and Sciences and the Graduate School of Arts and Sciences at Brandeis University. I advise the deans of A&S and GSAS on communication outreach, including community-wide messaging, talking points, and crisis communications. I serve as the primary liaison for both schools with the Office of Communications. I identify, develop, pitch, and produce stories that highlight major A&S and GSAS announcements and accomplishments, and oversee, monitor, and assess key communication and marketing platforms for both schools, including newsletters, websites, and social media accounts. Before Brandeis, I spent two years coordinating digital communications for the Harvard Alumni Association during the launch of the Harvard Campaign. I supported the HAA\'s marketing and communications campaigns with broadcast email, contributions to the HAA website and by managing a community of more than people across the HAA\'s social media channels, including Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn and Instagram. I supported many initiatives, including the Harvard Campaign launch event, fundraising events with Harvard\'s president, networking events attended by thousands of alumni worldwide, and a HarvardX program tailored for alumni that attracted participants. Before Harvard, I spent two years supporting the Digital Strategy team at Quintiles (currently called IQVIA), the world\'s largest pharmaceutical services company. I established the company’s social media footprint on Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn and Youtube and worked with their thought leaders to ensure that their personal online profiles reflected the company\'s priorities. I supported the public relations, communications and marketing teams with written material and multimedia productions. My work for Quintiles has been published on the WRAL website and printed in The Herald Sun, The News and Observer and The Triangle Business Journal.
