I have been working as Build/Release/DevOps Engineer, Java developer, and team leader for several years in university, enterprise and Open Source realities (Politecnico University in Milano, Vodafone, RWE, Mozilla, GoodGameStudios, TUI, HSBC, PNB Paribas, Lloyds Bank).I had the chance to work in both Windows and Unix/Linux environments with several developers teams (Java.Net, iOS, Unity, C++, Javascript) and I am quite familiar with version control systems (centralised: CVS, Subversion; distributed: Git, Mercurial), scripting languages and automation (Bash, Powershell, Python), build technologies (Ant, Maven, MSBuild), Continuous Integration tools (Jenkins, Teamcity, Buildbot), Cloud technologies (AWS, Azure), the wonders of the containerised world (Docker, Kubernetes), and a plethora of tools and technologies I came across so far (JBoss, Weblogic, Apache, Ansible, to name a few).As a developer, I mainly worked with Java, Python and Clojure.My background is fundamentally technical, but I progressively embraced more team management responsibilities, dealing with interviews to create teams, leading teams, and reporting to the management layer within the organization.
