I hopped into the role of Director of Communications in early 2023 and have been annoying our team with my strong opinions about punctuation and impact ever since.I help the team advance our global mission by telling the amazing true stories that showcase our ongoing human rights work. My goal is to reach, inspire, and include many more people through all our communications.At a time when real moral courage is desperately needed on the global stage, I am deeply motivated to showcase our team\'s innovation and leadership, and the ways our work transforms people’s lives.I reserve a day each week for my personal and group coaching practice.

ABOUT SIMONE HANCHET
Over the past twenty years, I\'ve held various senior roles in international leadership development, adult education, and communications, mainly within the not-for-profit and academic sectors. I\'ve thrived in these roles, and am proud of my contributions to the communities and causes I\'ve advanced. These include programs in the areas of women\'s rights, human rights, environmental conservation, social entrepreneurship, public health, peace education, and more.Noticing a troubling pattern of burnout amongst those working hardest to better our world, in 2019 I trained as a Transformational Life and Health Coach and founded Quite Lightly Coaching, a coaching business dedicated to helping activists, healers, social entrepreneurs and other leaders overcome or prevent burnout while discovering their most energizing purpose.I\'ve recently expanded my coaching practice to include group facilitation work using modality of The Work That Reconnects. This year, I co-created Spiral Centre to help people experience their full agency, creative power, compassion, joy, courage, and hope at a time of multiple complex social and ecological crises.I\'m also passionate about my work with Tubahumurize, an exemplary grassroots association in Kigali that supports Rwandan women victims of violence through counselling and entrepreneurship training. I have been an active volunteer and strategic advisor since living in Rwanda in 2009.Having successfully launched my part-time coaching practice (and with my children now out of diapers!), I\'m now eager to apply my program design, communications, and leadership development skills as part of a larger team once again.My diverse work experience allows me to excel at program design, project management, research, writing, leadership development, adult education, strategic communications, event planning, facilitation, coaching, and more. I am well suited to work as part of an organization with a big mandate, opportunities for growth, and an inspiring vision.I\'m considered by my colleagues to be an extremely strong team player. I\'m kind, honest, extremely hardworking. I\'m also an excellent communicator, and creative and nimble in my thinking. In addition to excellent attention to detail, I have a knack for holding an emerging vision and working with colleagues to bring it to life.
