ABOUT SIMONE BOUDREAU
I am a fourth-year Commerce student and passionate student leader at Saint Mary\'s University, pursuing a double major in Marketing and Economics with a Certificate in Sports Business. My love for marketing is fueled by a creative spirit and a passion for connection and engagement. This past summer, I worked as a Summer Event Coordinator for the Halifax Regional Municipality, recently coordinating the 2025 Halifax-Dartmouth Natal Day Parade. This experience gave me practical skills in event coordination and project management. More importantly, this role allowed me to witness the meaningful impacts events have on communities. As a powerlifting athlete with a passion for health and wellness, studying Sports Business was a natural choice. In September 2024, I founded the SMU Health and Wellness Society, creating a community of SMU students passionate about sports, health, and wellness. In this role, I hosted on-campus events promoting student and community well-being, including wellness workshops and a letter-writing campaign to support isolated seniors. The same year, I served as a board member for Sail Able Nova Scotia, a learn-to-sail program for people with disabilities, demonstrating my commitment to inclusivity in sports. This fall, I look forward to continuing my involvement in the adaptive sports community, serving on the Adaptive Athlete Committee for Canada Powerlifting. As I look forward to graduating in spring 2026, I’m exploring opportunities in sports operations, tourism, and event planning where I can combine my coordination experience with my passion for community, connection, and well-being.
