ABOUT SIMON PORTER
Whilst becoming a chartered management accountant helped make financials my backbone, I enjoy and want to be involved in all aspects of business. Being involved in corporate business strategy excites me, and my ultimate goal is to become a CEO of a medium sized firm or hold a similar style of job slightly lower down a large organisation.I have already gained a lot of experience leading to three promotions in eight years with Compass. After spending two years supporting bid wins within the Compass Group International team worth over $1 Bn Turnover, my contribution to the HSBC global contract win at the end of 2013 led to an internal promotion offer to become Global Commercial Manager on the new account. Start of 2016 I was asked to move to the USA to merge two job roles combining existing responsibility with the Operations leadership role for the Americas region on HSBC. Then mid 2017 my role advanced to grow from one large account to managing 60 accounts & counting in the region with a wider support structure across our partnership with Jones Lang Lasalle (JLL). Early 2020 I then moved back and from regional to Global responsibility for 98 clients across 27 countries.I enjoy engaging with all types of individuals in an organisation and feel I can add clear value in any situation by understanding stakeholder needs and improving current output to meet their requirements. I have been lucky to spend several months in Asia, four years living in New York City and now back in the UK.
