Enabling employers to achieve their employment and industrial relations goals.I am a specialist employment lawyer with more than 15 years of experience at the leading edge of employment law. When organisations have employment issues that are important, complicated, high value or just sensitive, I work with them to navigate the legal and practical intricacies so that they achieve their goals in the way they want to.I use technical expertise and many years of practical experience of facing similar situations to help my clients- to avoid issues before they happen- to correct issues while they are happening, and- to remedy issues after they have happened.The independent legal directories have for many years kindly described me as one of the leading lawyers in my area. I am trusted by various blue chip corporates and household names employers to advise them and to support them with their employment law and industrial relations issues.I cover the full range of UK employment law issues. I am also one of an extremely small group of UK lawyers with technical expertise and genuine experience in dealing with collective labour issues issues such as trade union disputes, industrial action and european work council issues. This expertise means that I am often asked to provide informed comment, expert briefings and specialist opinion on topical employment law issues to various trade and mainstream media outlets (including the Financial Times, the Economist, Personnel Today, Employers\' Law). I am also a frequent speaker at employment law/HR related events for organisations such as the CIPD, the Chemical Industries Association, Chemicals NorthWest, Legal Island and the Academy of Social Sciences. I am also the co-author of UK section of \"International Employment Law\" published by Juris Publishing.
