Stepped into a new role due to the companies rapid growth with a fairly freeform remit but essentially to introduce professional, efficient, automated reporting, to the business and the shareholders. Key areas covered listed below with summary and highlights, this along with business partnering with the wider business and improving flows of data with key stakeholders.Cashflow - initial remit was to stabilise cashflow management and short term forecasting with weekly review and 13 week rolling cashflows as this was a crucial choke point. Highlights better system integrity, reporting and removal of surprises in cash.Budgeting - started from a nil budget position in year 1. The most recent budgets are now fully interactive with heads of service and board involvement. Budget driven Balance Sheet, Cashflow and P&L - with various scenarios and KPIs driven. Highlights here have been to make the business more financially aware and to understand the actions of spend and Capex.Reforecasting - full development of detailed monthly reforecast - from key baseline drivers, with 3 statement reporting at group level, consolidated level and departmental views, with special focus on Capex requirements. Highlights here are we can pre report on working day minus one on how the month will look versus forecast ad budget allowing for quicker pivots around the key drivers.Monthly Accounts MA pack and Board Pack - full production of MA packs in conjunction with key stakeholders, The brief was to make the pack more dynamic and relevant to both internal stakeholders and investors. Highlights - smaller more relevant pack now produced, 2 days knocked off month end pack production, more intuitive revies versus full year forecasts.Ad Hoc - numerous projects and reviews including review of our forecourt proposition, detailed work on our car leasing business including readiness for sale, what is analyses, price rise sensetivity.
