ABOUT SIMON MARSHALL-JONES

At present I am in the process of looking to secure funding or a long-term loan to put Spectral on a good financial footing. If anyone out there is interested, or knows of anyone who would be, then please get in touch with me, Simon Marshall-Jones, on spectralpress[AT]gmail[DOT]com. I have some great plans for the future of the press, which is currently up for an award at the British Fantasy Awards, and one of my books,\"Whitstable\" by Stephen Volk, has also been nominated for an award at the same Awards. Spectral itself has great potential - become a part of the potential! Some bits about me: I am an ambitious and driven man, with the sole aim of making Spectral Press one of the major independent small press publishers in the UK. The press has been nominated in the Best Small Press category of the British Fantasy Awards for the last three years, and has published award-winning books. It is mainly devoted to ghost and quiet psychological horror stories, but also publishes books on classic horror and ghost cinema through the Spectral Screen imprint. I also run Spectral Freelance Editorial, offering editing and proofreading services to writers (both new and seasoned), publishing houses, and also to professionals - eg. proofreading pamphlets, brochures, and other publications - currently working as editor for Horrific Tales Publications and Crooked Cat Publishing. I am particularly looking for an editing contract with a mid-tier publishing concern.
