Silas manages the Construction Engineering Division of the Robert Bird Group (VIC + TAS), a group of specialist engineers and technicians who provide value engineering, construction sequence, construction methodology and temporary works designs for complex projects across buildings and infrastructure. The division also designs contractor focused permanent works and specialises in the delivery of contractor lead heavy infrastructure works including road, rail, energy and resources. Silas also specializes in the detailed design and construction of complex structures including stadia and long span steel structures.
