Greetings, my name is Shwana Gillani and I’m an aspiring Immigration and Business lawyer. I’m currently a student pursuing her bachelor’s degree at Georgia State University. During my high school career I’ve taken a variety of Advance Placement as well as International Baccalaureate courses and successfully completed the IB Middle Years Program Personal Project. Although, I am currently an undecided major, I plan to Major in Finance and Minor in policy or vice-versa. My past employment history consists of Sally Beauty Holding to gain insights in the retail, business and cosmetic industry. Alongside that, I was also employed at Kumon, Kumon is an after-school Reading and Mathematics program that help’s kids improve Reading, Grammer, and Mathematics. The program helped me with professional development and gave me an insight in the world of education. Through the program I’ve also received an opportunity to interact with the younger audience. As a first-generation college student and an immigrant myself, the world of Immigration captivated me into diving deeper into the field.
