ABOUT SHUBHA TANAYA
Mechanical Engineer specializing in Computational Mechanics, with a proven ability to integrate core mechanical engineering disciplines with advanced interdisciplinary skills in robotics, AI, and ML. My expertise lies in applying computational techniques to solve complex engineering problems, enhancing efficiency and innovation. In my role at Collins Aerospace, I utilized AI/ML to streamline predictive stress analysis, significantly reducing lead times. At DRDO, I contributed to advanced research in composite materials, showcasing my ability to bridge practical engineering with sophisticated computational methods. My project portfolio includes a diverse array of technical challenges: mine detection and B-scan processing using GPRMax, MATLAB, and YOLOv5; kinematics and path planning of 8 DOF Anthropomorphic Robotic Arm; SLAM and navigation with Turtlebot3 Burger utilizing Intel RealSense and ROS, and various computational mini-projects in Python. My technical skill set encompasses proficiency in Python, MATLAB, and ROS, along with expertise in Solidworks, Ansys and Deep Learning Techniques. I am also equipped with strong soft skills such as communication, critical thinking, initiative, collaboration, and leadership. I have achieved significant milestones throughout my academic journey, including securing the 1st Runner-up position in Collins Aerospace’s MECHAURA Design Dexterity Challenge for my innovative aircraft fan cowl actuator design. At the Inter IIT Tech Fest, I co-led a team to the 8th position in Jaguar Land Rover’s Chiplet Challenge by designing novel cooling systems for IC packages. Additionally, I co-led the E-BAJA’23 Drag Drive team in designing and simulating an electric ATV. Concurrently, I hold leadership roles including Secretary of the Society of Mechanical Engineers and Mentor at the Automotive Club, where I continue to foster innovation and collaboration among peers. As I continue pushing the boundaries of mechanical engineering through interdisciplinary collaboration and cutting-edge technologies, I am eager to connect with professionals and organizations that share my passion for innovation and excellence. Let\'s connect and explore opportunities to drive the future of engineering innovation.
