A UX Researcher. Strategic Thinker. Customer advocate. Lifelong learner.Shrut is a Cognitive Scientist and a UX Researcher who is passionate about exploring the myriad complexities of human behavior & leveraging this understanding in creating user-centric, experiential, and inclusive global products/services. Being a Cognitive & Neuroscience graduate, she always wanted to be more than an academic researcher, and thus, transitioned her career to UX Research. With over 8 years of combined experience in academic & product research, she is a Sr. Experience Researcher leading research for Adobe Illustrator ecosystem, shaping and driving the next evolution of the Illustrator ecosystem of products & GenAI in Illustrator. With team and collaboration being the heart of her research focus, she has been partnering with 10+ global (US, India) cross-Adobe product, design, analytics, eng, research & strategy teams, empowering them with research insights and learnings to drive organization-wide strategic impact. In the past, she has founded & led the UX Research operations @Lollypop Design Studio(Bangalore), where she set up the UX Research function from scratch & mentored a team of UX Researchers on 30+ exploratory, evaluative UX research projects across diverse domains such as AgriTech, FinTech, B2B E-comm, Media & Entertainment. She has worked with clients like Walmart, Udaan, Monsanto, Asian Paints, and brings with her a rich knowledge of the Indian digital audience. Moreover, her research experience with flagship products like Adobe Illustrator, Adobe InDesign & CC Canvas makes her a veritable advocate of the global creative professional user community. From leading a team of researchers, and building a research function to being a hands-on learner in a corporate conglomerate, Shrut has been constantly making a resounding impact in challenging positions and fluidly taking on the roles of an industry thought leader, an accomplished researcher, and a learner at heart. She has achieved numerous national & international design awards & is also an avid speaker & guest lecturer delivering talks, masterclass webinars for Birmingham City University(UK), Kyoorius Design Yatra, SpeakIn, ADPList, GreenBook Events(US) among a few. Shrut\'s research expertise lies at the intersection of emerging technologies, global UX Research & operations, and cognition and behavioral sciences. Her other interests include being an inclusion & accessibility enthusiast and mentoring mid-career UXRs and emerging UX research teams around the world.
