I started my career as an offshore software engineer in Cairo, Egypt — working with distributed teams, navigating time zones, and understanding firsthand what it feels like to be the person on the other side of the call. Today, I\'m an onshore Engineering Manager in the United States, leading those same kinds of distributed teams. That full-circle journey shapes everything about how I lead.With 16+ years in tech, I\'ve grown from individual contributor to technical lead to engineering manager, with experience spanning both sides of the offshore/onshore divide. At Vibes, I founded and scaled the Provisioning team from scratch — a greenfield initiative where I defined the technical vision, built the team, established engineering practices, and delivered a production system from zero.What drives me: building environments where engineers do their best work.
